Eight Acres Camp was established in 2002 and is located in Bixby, Oklahoma. Eight Acres offers Summer Day Camp to children who have completed kindergarten and are going into first grade  - 11 years old. Eight Acres Camp features a stocked fishing pond, basketball court, playground, and the famous dirt pile. 

Your children will be excited to come to Eight Acres Camp every day to get dirty and have fun! They can fish and catch frogs around our one-acre stocked fishing pond. Art time promises lots of wonderful creations. Kids love spending time under our many shade trees, playing games like dodgeball, gaga ball, kickball, or just digging in the famous camp dirt pile. All of this, in addition to frequent field trips that include swimming, bowling, skating, and other fun activities. Your children will be begging to come back day after day. Eight Acres is staffed by certified elementary teachers and experienced elementary school teachers' assistants.
We accommodate flexible schedules, and you only pay for the days your child is scheduled to attend camp.

Our Program

 Eight Acres is an outdoor-based Summer Day Camp/Out of School Time program for elementary age children. We accept children who have completed kindergarten and are entering first grade - 11 years old for summer camp.

We are not staffed or equipped to provide care for children who have severe emotional, behavioral, or medical needs. 

Scheduling/Attendance/Billing Policy

Billing is based on the days your child is scheduled to attend camp. 

It is the parents’ responsibility to schedule and adjust scheduled days on the KTConnect App. 

*****Cancellations must be submitted 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the following day.*****

(Cancel by 7am the day before the day you are canceling).

 Invoices are available on the KT Connect app at the end of each week on Saturday, payment is due on Monday and late on Thursday. 

 Camp Tuition and Fees

Daily Tuition - $40 per day

Annual Registration Fee - Non-Refundable $100 per child 

          When Eight Acres provides for a forgotten lunch - $6

Optional Pizza Lunch on Fridays - $6

Field Trips - $8 - $20 with the weekly average of $15 - $25 for all trips.  (Field trips are optional.)

T-Shirts - $15

Loaner T-Shirts - $5

Late Pick-up - $5 every 5 minutes after 6:00pm

Late payment fee - $10

Returned payment fee - $25

Credit card payments - 3% fee

We offer flexible scheduling but do not offer sibling discounts.

Monday- Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up at any time

Summer Camp 2026 - Wednesday, May 27th - Friday, July 31st

We will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, 2026

Lunch & Snack

Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day. Lunches will be refrigerated, but not microwaved. 

Snacks and water bottles are provided. 

No gum, caffeinated drinks, energy drinks or soda allowed at camp. 

A $6 fee will be charged when Eight Acres provides for a forgotten lunch.

*Parents schedule camp days and adjust schedules on the KTConnect App.
*Dress your child in old play clothes. They will get very dirty!
*Electronics including cell phones and smart watches should not be brought to camp.
* Less is best…the more your child brings to camp the more we have to keep up with.
* Put your child’s name on EVERYTHING.
*We prefer lunch sacks. Walmart-type sacks are perfect. Lunch boxes will not be refrigerated due to refrigerator space.
*We can refrigerate lunches, but lunches will not be microwaved. 
*A $6 fee will be charged when Eight Acres provides for a forgotten lunch.
*No gum, caffeinated drinks, energy drinks or soda allowed at camp.
*Unless we are going skating or bowling, your child should probably not wear socks to camp. They don’t last long.
*Don’t send money with your child on field trips.
*Sunscreen your child before dropping off at camp.
*We provide sunscreen and apply at lunchtime and as needed during afternoon snack.
*We have plenty of fishing poles and bait. Don’t bring your own fishing poles, tackle or bait.
*Children are required to wear an unaltered Eight Acres Camp T-Shirt on all Field Trips except swimming. T-Shirts are $15.
* A $5 fee will be charged when Eight Acres provides for a forgotten T-shirt.
*Tax Statements will be available each January. 
*Our DHS compliance file is available at the check-in desk for parent review. 

Camp Registration

Eight Acres 2026 Registration is OPEN!

We have open spots for summer camp. The registration form may say you are going to a waitlist. 
When we process your registration, you will be moved into a spot. 
 
Step 1
 Read ALL info before registering. The Registration Link is at the bottom of this page.

On the registration form, set TODAY as your start date to ensure your account is active.

A non-refundable $100 registration fee per child is due at the time of registration. 
Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and hit the submit button. 
After you enter your payment, watch for an email with a link to the second section of registration.

Step 2
Email a copy of your child's vaccination record to Camp@EightAcres.com with Vaccination Record in the subject line. 
We have Vaccination Exemption forms available if you don't vaccinate. 

Step 3
Download the KT Connect app and turn on the notifications.

Step 4
Book your child's anticipated attendance dates on the KT Connect app.
You won't be able to book dates until we process your registration. 

You will also be able to cancel camp days on the app when your plans change.
Cancellations must be submitted 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the following day.

Parents are responsible for all scheduling and schedule changes through the KTConnect App.  
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Scheduled days must be canceled by 7 am the day prior to the day you are canceling to avoid being charged for that day.  
There may be times when you pay for days your child misses due to illness or when you have last-minute changes to your schedule or child care needs.

F.A.Q

Do I need to walk my child in?

No, you don't need to walk your child into camp in the mornings, although you are more than welcome to come in. We are happy to help campers sign in if they need assistance. 

Do I need to sign my child in and out?

It is helpful if you check your child in and out on the app by clicking on your child's icon on the KT Connect app. We do NOT use the "Check In/Out" button. 

Do I have to book camp days on the app?

Yes, days need to be booked on the app so we can staff appropriately and stay within ratios. The app will not let you book the day of. You can always message to see if we have space available to add your child to our roster the day of. 

If my child misses a scheduled camp day can we get a credit for another day?

No, We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Scheduled days must be canceled by 7 am the day prior to the day you are canceling to avoid being charged for that day.  
There may be instances where you pay for camp days that your child misses due to illness, unexpected changes in your schedule, or childcare needs. To ensure fairness to all families and maintain consistency, we cannot accommodate individual requests to adjust accounts for days when campers are absent.

When and where do we get camp t-shirts?

Our T-Shirt Shop is open during camp hours in our Yellow Barn. Pick up t-shirts anytime. 

How do I sign my child up for field trips?

When campers sign in, they will use the "Staying at Camp" or "Field Trip" sign-in sheet. We are happy to help campers sign in if they need assistance.

What does my child need for field trips?

On field trip days campers will need an unaltered camp t- shirt. Emails are sent out weekly with the field trips planned and info on if any additional items are needed such as socks, tennis shoes etc..

Does my child need to bring a water bottle to camp?

No, we provide water bottles each day. ​

Camp Owner and Director, Jennifer Jefferson, has taught at Glenpool Elementary School since 1992. Ms. Jefferson started Eight Acres Camp in May 2002. She is Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified.

LaNora Bean

Teacher since 2007

Mrs Bean has been a teacher at Eight Acres since 2007. She retired from Glenpool Elementary after 35 years. She is pediatric CPR and First Aid certified.
